Bonheur was founded to bring the quiet elegance of Paris together with the deep-rooted craft tradition of Istanbul — in a single bag. Our name comes from the French word for "happiness," because a well-designed object, made with the right materials and real care, is a small but genuine kind of happiness in everyday life.

Bonheur is a France-based modern bag studio, and our collections are produced in Istanbul. This dual identity is not a tagline for us; it is a way of working. From Paris, we carry a contemporary aesthetic — clean lines, balanced proportions, and a timeless colour palette. From Istanbul, we draw on centuries of leatherwork, hand-finished stitching, and the patience that artisanal making demands.

A bag for an urban life

Our collections are inspired by city life. We design by observing the real needs of people who move from the office in the morning to a meeting in the afternoon and to dinner in the evening. Every Bonheur bag is therefore asked to do two things: look beautiful and make life easier. Generous interior volume, balanced weight, considered pocket placement and long-lasting straps — these matter to us as much as the silhouette itself.

Our unisex approach comes from the same place. What matters is not who carries a bag, but how it is carried. Our colour palette and range of sizes turn the collection into a tool for personal expression.

Every Bonheur bag is produced in limited quantities in our small Istanbul atelier by experienced artisans. We do not work at the speed of mass production; we work at the speed that craft allows. Our leathers are selected carefully, and every cut, every stitch and every fitting is checked piece by piece.

Sustainability, for us, is not a marketing line — it is a production discipline. We make less, and we make it right. We focus on timeless design rather than chasing trends, because the first condition for a bag to be truly sustainable is that it can be carried for years.
